What are you craving today? We all want something different. When you go to a cafeteria or buffet - that is the draw. You only have to get what YOU want. Do you want chicken? Pasta? Salad? Dessert? well get that. And if there is something your don't want....just move along. And at the end of the line you only pay for what you choose. The same is true in life - you get to 'choose' what you want to do. Life has a lot of options - and you don't have to do everything.
i love my car, but one thing i don't care for is the maintenance part of owning a car. It takes time, money and effort to keep it running. However if i don't maintain it, it will not run, or perform, at the level i need it to.... and i need my car to run. We are like our cars. We are dependent on ourselves being healthy and to work at optimal performance, but we often don't take care of ourselves. We put our needs on the back burner and therefor are often running on fumes
We all like the idea of where we will be "when we make it". In fact we are in love with the end result! We love The idea of success The feeling of being sought after Having money, fame, etc We love what we will get .... But we often don't love what we have to do to get there. And that's the problem. We want the end results but are not willing to do what it will take to get there. It isn't enough to be in love with the end of the journey - you Must believe in and fall in lo
There was a man and his dog sitting on a porch. Every few minutes the dog would let out a low moan. This went on for a while. A friend came by and asked the man “what’s wrong with your dog? Why is he moaning like that?’ “well, said the owner, he is laying on a nail.” “why doesn’t he just move?” asked the onlooker “because it doesn’t hurt him enough to move.” I love this story because many of us do the same thing. We have pain, but it is not quite enough to make us move.
